Lajja Shah
Dental Surgeon
BDS (Birmingham) 2003 GDC 82030 MFGDP (UK) 2007
Lajja graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2003. She then joined an established dental practice in Royal Leamington Spa where she completed her vocational training programme and was awarded the Membership of Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (MFGDP UK) in 2007.
With time it became clear that her passion was to provide a high standard of dental care to families in general practice, with a keen interest in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. In 2017 Lajja completed a training course specialising in this field and she was awarded a distinction in her Postgraduate certificate in Restorative dentistry from the University of Warwick.
Lajja relocated to the Cotswolds and joined the team at Burford Road Dental in 2018. She continues to complete further training courses so she can provide the most up to date, minimally invasive dental techniques for her patients in a relaxed and calm environment.
In 2022 she combined her passion for dentistry and travel when she visited a charity funded children’s home in rural Kenya. Here she provided emergency dental care and oral hygiene advice to the local community and to the Masai people.
In her spare time Lajja enjoys attending evening pottery classes, baking cakes and visiting new places with her husband in their camper van.
