It’s time to finish off that Christmas shopping!
December 19, 2016With not long to go until the big day, we hope you’re not feeling too stressed with planning for all the festivities. Whether it’s seeking out the perfect turkey, dressing the Christmas tree, or making it to that carol concert on time, there can be lots of factors that make December a very busy month. We’ve put together a selection of Christmas gift ideas that we hope might give you some inspiration for those harder to buy for family and friends on your list.
Go electric
When I got my first electric tooth brush, it revolutionised my tooth brushing experience. For the first time, I felt that I had properly brushed all those hard to reach areas, and I loved how clean my mouth felt. There are a wide range of electric toothbrushes available through shops and online retailers: you’re sure to be able to find one that meets the needs of even you most difficult to buy for family member or friend, and that fits within your budget.
Keep track of time
It is recommended that we brush our teeth twice a day, for two minutes each time. However, it can be difficult to judge when that two minutes is up. Why not help your friends and family this year, by buying them a timer that lets them know when they’ve been brushing for the right amount of time? There are a range of options available, and you can even get apps for your phone or tablet as well: there will be a version to suit whoever you’re buying for.
For the little ones
It can be difficult to know what to buy for children, especially when they have lots of toys and clothes and lots of people who might be buying for them. We’ve found a couple of innovative ideas that we’d like to bring to you today. Why not consider a ‘first tooth’ memory box? Celebrating and remembering all those milestones is important, so why not help a friend or family member along their way and gift them a box in which to keep their child’s first tooth. This will help keep the tooth safe forever more.
As those milk teeth start to fall out, it’ll be time for the tooth fairy to start making her visits. Why not help prepare for this by gifting a ‘tooth fairy cushion’? These cushions come with a little pouch, and are purposely designed so that a child can leave their milk tooth in the cushion overnight for the tooth fairy to collect. The tooth fairy will then leave a treat, such as a coin, in the cushion for when the child wakes. Tooth fairy cushions make a great gift for children as they start to lose their teeth.
A healthier treat
Why not introduce your ‘giftee’ to a few new low sugar treats? We’re constantly bombarded by guidelines to reduce our sugar intake, but for those of us who have a sweet tooth, that can seem like a tall order. There are lots of options out there that are lower in sugar, so why not seek some of those out, and help a family member or friend to continue to enjoy a treat, without risking their health?
Hopefully our guide has given you a few ideas about some different gifts you might consider for your friends and family. There are a wide variety of new and innovative products available. Good luck finishing off your Christmas shopping!
